Our services
We specialise in statistical data analyses, our most important task being to render large, complex volumes of data accessible, understandable and useful to our customers.
For this reason, we work hand in hand with our customers throughout the entire process – from initial choice of data and analysis design to delivery of the final report, research paper, presentation of findings, or a research paper destined for a scientific journal.
While all projects and customers are unique, our analysis model has proved highly successful.
Data sourcing
In the initial phase, we identify data options and which data sources to include. These might be the customer’s own data and register data from Statistics Denmark.
Beginning with the customer’s analysis questions, hypotheses, project description or protocol, we determine the analysis design. Often, we help customers prepare study protocols and project applications.
In projects where the customer has not yet established the final analysis design and where we are unfamiliar with the analysis data options, we adopt a more exploratory and iterative approach.
Data processing
The data phase represents the major part of the analysis project, as processing and preparation of a solid data foundation are crucial for delivering useful, quality analyses.
At i2minds, we are experienced in everything from collecting small data sets to working with extremely large, complex data from a multitude of sources with numerous variables and millions of observations. In many projects, we generate new, valuable information using Big Data, where we compare the customer’s own data against register data from Statistics Denmark.
Descriptive and Statistical Analyses
The analysis phase is based on the data foundation, where we discuss the partial results of the analysis with our customers. This often takes the form of an iterative process in which we adapt and expand the analysis within the framework provided by the analysis design and project scope.
Typically, the analysis phase begins with descriptive statistics, and using this and the agreed methodology, we then proceed with statistical analysis. Here, we can draw on a wide range of statistical models and methodologies, and we assist our customers with understanding and interpreting the results of the statistical analysis.
Data dissemination
The actual value and successful outcome of the analysis process is when the results are understood and applied by relevant stakeholders. Such stakeholders may be researchers, decision-makers and others who can use the knowledge supplied by the analysis.
In the results phase, we supply raw data and descriptive analyses in spreadsheet tables for finished reports which the customer can disseminate directly.
